It’s not only great for the PC, but in my opinion it’s one of the few PC programs that actually offers users a more rich experience on their handheld cellular devices. With Google Maps users can find local businesses and other points of interest, discover traffic delays, receive turn by turn directions, and even use GPS capabilites via My Location Based Services without having a GPS receiver installed on their device. On paper the Storm was a success for RIM and Verizon. In the flesh, not so much. It was plagued by software issues that were eventually ironed out, but more so by the utter failure of RIM’s SureType technology. The screen was cumbersome to use, tiring and inaccurate. An iPhone killer it was most certainly not, and we dubbed it the worst BlackBerry ever made. So, how does RIM fix it? A new screen, now with four click points and Piezo technology to prevent accidental clicks. We have to admit we are much more impressed this time around.

I don’t know about you, but the first thing I do when I get a new cell phone is shop around for a great accessory or two to go with it. I can’t stand having to use old equipment with a new phone, so whenever I change my handset, I change everything else as well. That’s why I’m currently looking for the latest BlackBerry accessories for my brand-new Pearl 8100.
There are several BlackBerry accessories that I consider to be must-haves. For example, I definitely want a screen protector to help ward off scratches, so that’s the first item on my list. I’m also looking for a nice leather case so my handset doesn’t get damaged when it’s not in use. I like keeping my phones as pristine as possible, because I can often sell them on eBay once I’m ready for a new model. Having the right BlackBerry accessories can make a world of difference in this department, so I don’t mind spending a little bit extra for the good stuff.
